Employment Scam Phishing Email

The Office of Information Systems has been notified of a possible phishing email circulating in our area. The email offers a part-time job to people who are willing to make calls. The scam offers money based on the number of calls made. You will never get paid for the work performed.  If you receive one of these emails, delete it. If you have responded to one of these emails and have given out banking information so payment can be direct deposited, please contact your bank immediately to secure your account.

If you have been a victim of this scam or any other Internet-related scam, you may file a complaint with the FBI’s Internet Crime Complaint Center at http://www.IC3.gov. Notify Public Safety at  DPS@atu.edu and the Office of Information Security at security@atu.edu
