Randomized MAC Address
Your device has been detected using a randomized MAC address. Many mobile devices come with this feature enabled by default as a privacy feature. Unfortunately, this also prevents certain features on the ATU network from working properly as well as making troubleshooting and support more difficult.
It is recommended to disable this feature for ATU wireless networks and leave the feature on for non-ATU networks to help ensure your privacy off-campus.
Android – On Android devices, in the wireless networks page, find the ATU network you’re attempting to use and press the settings button (gear icon) for that network. Scroll down to “Advanced” and expand that section. Scroll down again and you should see a setting called “MAC address type”… change that to “Phone MAC”.>
Apple iOS – On Apple iOS devices, in the wireless networks page, find the ATU network you’re attempting to use and press the settings button (i icon) for that network. Scroll down until you see a setting called “Private Address”… turn that off and then click “Rejoin” when the popup notification appears.
