As was mentioned in a previous announcement, Network Services is proceeding with upgrades to the SafeConnect network authentication system. As such, work will be done on the ReNet networks over the next few days which may result in temporary disconnections. In addition to the SafeConnect upgrade, Network Services is also in the process of implementing changes to ResNet that should facilitate a better online gaming experience for the residence of on-campus housing. Further information concerning this will be forthcoming in an upcoming announcement, and Network Services plans to have these changes done before students return this weekend.
