To further support our deployment of Office 365, the Office of Information Systems will be upgrading our anti-spam service to Exchange Online Protection provided through Office 365. Exchange Online Protection will be replacing the features and services currently provided by Ironport.
After the upgrade, you will receive a daily Spam Notification email with a list of messages Exchange Online Protection quarantined as spam. The message also provides links to release the message from the quarantine and mark the message as “not junk” as needed. For more information, visit https://support.atu.edu/ics/support/default.asp?deptID=16101&task=knowledge&questionID=922.
Also, the process for whitelisting and blacklisting address from your mailbox will now be managed in the Safe Senders and Blocked Senders lists in Outlook Web App (OWA). For detailed information on Safe and Blocked Senders, visit https://support.atu.edu/ics/support/default.asp?deptID=16101&task=knowledge&questionID=923.
This upgrade is scheduled to begin at 8pm on Friday, April 10 and could last up to 4 hours. All mailboxes will be available during this upgrade, however, sending and receiving of new email may be delayed.
