The Office of Information Systems will soon release a change to our website and support portal providing a new look and feel for both. These updates are predicated by the end of life of our current support portal, Parature. Parature was purchased by Microsoft in recent years, but they quickly decided to retire the product. Faced with the necessity to replace this product OIS sufficiently researched options currently on the market. The IT Service Management system, Freshservice by Freshworks, became the obvious choice. This product allows OIS to manage, record, report, and document IT technical issues that arise on our campus. The Freshservice support portal will also provide a more efficient and user-friendly means of reporting incidents and requesting services.
The change from Parature to Freshservice provided an excellent opportunity to also release our new OIS website that was already under construction. The new website will allow users more navigational ease ultimately providing better services to students, faculty, and staff. A seamless connection between the new website and support portal is sure to give the user a fresh positive experience.
