The Office of Information Systems is planning an upgrade to the print management system before the summer term. Beginning at 8am on Wednesday, May 30, OIS staff will begin migrating lab and open printers to the new system. Printers will be intermittently unavailable throughout the day. Departmental office printers and copiers will not be affected.
This upgrade allows us to provide a single print queue for all controlled release printers on campus in labs and open spaces. Print jobs sent to this queue can be released at any release station on campus. Additionally, printing will be more universally accessible with a new mobile print service. Print jobs can be submitted from iOS and Android devices as well as Windows and Mac laptops from anywhere on campus. Print jobs can also be submitted from off campus by logging into the new print portal and then can be released to any controlled printer.
Full documentation for mobile print and web print will be made available before the upgrade.
