It is with a heavy heart that the Office of Information Systems reports the passing of our friend and colleague Theresa Motley. Theresa most recently served as the Associate Director for Support Services. Our condolences and sympathies go out to her friends and family. Her warm smile and bubbly personality will be missed.
Theresa Ann Motley went to her Heavenly Home on Friday, April 5th surrounded by her family and loved ones. She was born February 28th, 1958 in Pocahontas.
She is survived by the love of her life, her devoted husband Don Motley; her father, Warren Matthews of Pocahontas; her brothers & sisters of the heart, Eddie & Shannon Holloway of Harker Heights, Texas and Mark & Teresa Holloway of Panama City, Florida as well as her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Dennis & Debbie Motley of Russellville. She will be deeply missed by her Aunt Kathy Hufstedler of Imboden, Arkansas and uncle James Damouth of Niles, MI.
She was adored by her many nieces and nephews, Cassidy Holloway, Megan Whitaker (Monte), Bryce Holloway, Landon Holloway, Tyler Holloway, Darren Motley and DJ Motley (Kelly) as well as great nephews and nieces, TJ Whitaker, Raegan Whitaker, Charlie Ray Motley and Parker Jay Motley.
She was preceded in death by her Mother, Pat Holloway, her maternal grandparents, Eulis & Wanda Damouth, and her nephews, Brian and Matthew Holloway.
Theresa was the Associate Director of Computer Support Services at Arkansas Tech University where she was employed for over 35 years.
Theresa’s love and light brightened up the lives of everyone that crossed her path. She was a deeply devoted friend and continually sought out opportunities to help those in need along the way. She cherished every moment spent with Don, exploring the outdoors and the many adventures she shared with her “baby girl” Cassidy Ann.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the many friends that provided support and shared in her care during her recent illness.
Funeral Service will be held at 2:00PM, Monday, April 8, 2019 at Dover Church of Christ with Brother Micah Williams officiating. Burial will be at Pisgah Cemetery in Pottsville by Humphrey Funeral Service. Visitation will be from 12:30-2:00 pm prior to the service on Monday at the Dover Church of Christ.
