The Office of Information Security would like to remind everyone to please be careful and review all emails, phone calls, and text messages concerning end-of-year processing and bill collection.
These will usually come with short notices and need “immediate” attention. Threat actors are busy at this time of the year and count on short notices and misdirection to ensure “everything gets done.”
DO NOT RESPOND to the communication information you receive in the email. If you are unsure of the validity of the request, use your regular contact information and pick up the phone and call first.
Never generate a PO, accept an Invoice or complete a transaction for someone you have not verified.
Never give your personal information, passwords, ID, or other information over the phone, via text, or through email.
