The Office of Information Systems has been notified that some users may be having issues connecting to ATU-Wireless. Yesterday, on January 5th, the security certificate that helps secure ATU-Wireless connection expired and needed to be renewed. Security on some client devices may notice this change and re-prompt the user to verify that the wireless network is valid and that they do indeed want to connect.
- Android devices have been reported to reconnect with no issues.
- Apple devices may prompt to accept the certificate. It may take several connection attempts to ATU-Wireless to get the prompt to appear. Accepting the certificate will allow the Apple device to connect.
- Windows devices may not automatically reconnect. Open the wireless view in the taskbar as if you were going to try to connect to a new network. Find ATU-Wireless and choose Connect. It will ask if you expect to see ATU-Wireless and this location and ask if you’d like to verify the certificate. Viewing the certificate is optional. You can click connect again, and the device should successfully connect.
