The Office of Information Security wants to remind the ATU community with the start of a new semester upon us. We will see an increase in email scams targeting Students, Faculty, and Staff. These emails are most often in the form of a job opportunity or prepaid credit card scam. We want to remind the ATU community to be on the lookout for these types of email scams. The Office of Information Security would also like to remind the campus community that these emails will be sent from off-campus email addresses or be spoofed to look like they are from an on-campus email address when they are not. To help identify these emails, ATU marks all emails from a non-ATU email address with an external sender warning highlighted in red.
EXTERNAL SENDER. Only open links and attachments from known senders. DO NOT provide your username, password, or any other personal information.
Please report any suspicious emails to Campus Support at (campussupport@atu.edu) or the Office of Information Security at (security@atu.edu).
