The Office of Information Systems would like to announce a new security feature for Microsoft Outlook. Users now can report phishing and spam messages directly from the Outlook client. In the outlook toolbar, you will find two new buttons.
The Report Phishing button allows you to report an email to Microsoft and ATU’s security team for review. Once the email has been reviewed it will either be submitted to the phishing filter or returned to the recipient if the email is legitimate.
The Report Message button has a drop-down that allows you to report any suspicious emails as potential Junk(Spam), Phishing, or Not Junk emails. These emails will be forwarded to Microsoft and ATU security team and reviewed. The email will either be submitted to the proper filter or returned to the mail recipient if the email is legitimate.
