There will be an upcoming network maintenance for the residence hall wired and wireless networks on Thursday, August 15th, starting at 8:00 am and lasting until 5:00 pm.
As part of our efforts to make the student network experience better, the Office of Information Systems will make the following changes:
- ATU-ResNet and ATU-ResNet-5g will be removed from all residence halls
- ATU-Wireless will be added to all to all residence halls
ATU-HomeDevices and ATU-HomeDevices-5g will be unaffected and will remain available in all residence halls.
This change is being made to simplify the student connection experience for on-campus students by reducing the number of wireless networks needing to be configured on each mobile and laptop device during initial setup for when password changes are required.
During this maintenance, devices connected to ATU-ResNet and ATU-ResNet-5g will lose connectivity until they’re configured to connect to ATU-Wireless. If they’ve already been configured to connect to ATU-Wireless when in academic spaces, they should automatically connect in the residence halls once ATU-Wireless becomes available. Other device connectivity on wired or on the HomeDevices networks may be temporarily interrupted as other changes are made to prepare for the Fall semester. Connection interruptions are expected to be brief, however, the entire maintenance window is reserved.
