The Office of Information Systems was made aware of an email that was recently delivered to some individuals that was supposedly from Dr. Bowen. The email asked the individuals to purchase iTunes gift cards and send back the numbers on the cards.
Please use caution when reviewing emails. All emails from external senders (those who do not have @atu.edu email addresses) will have this disclaimer added to the top of the email:
EXTERNAL SENDER. Only open links and attachments from known senders. DO NOT provide your username or password.
Be weary of any emails with this disclaimer that appear to be from someone on campus. All internal communication should come from an email address that ends in @atu.edu.
