There will be a scheduled outage for the ATU Cisco Unified Communications system on Thursday and Friday, October 4th and 5th, starting at 6 pm and lasting until 9 pm. During the outage windows, Unified Communication services may be offline or intermittently available. These services include:
- Cisco VoIP Phones
- Jabber (both on campus and remote access)
- Voicemail
- Departmental Hunt Groups/Call Queues
- VoIP Fax
This outage only affects areas and departments at ATU that have been migrated to the Unified Communications system and does not affect Windstream services. The majority of the work is expected to take two hours on Thursday with any unfinished work being completed on Friday, however, the entire window on both days is reserved. This outage will allow the Office of Information Systems to upgrade the Unified Communication system to the latest version which will allow for newer features and services to be offered in the future. A follow-up announcement will be sent once the upgrade is completed.
