The Office of Information Systems is pleased to announce that starting the week of February 4th, the university will be transitioning to a campus-wide license for the Adobe Creative Cloud 2019 suite of applications. Adobe informed OIS last fall that they would be moving to a user based license model in 2019. Right now we have a mix of device based licenses and user based licenses. An evaluation of Adobe users versus the renewal costs was performed, and the decision was made by the university to move to a campus license providing everyone with Adobe products.
Right now we are in the process of authorizing users to access the software. That process will take some time as users will be imported in batches. We plan to start on Monday afternoon. It is important to note that all previous installations of Adobe Creative Cloud and Adobe Acrobat will continue to function as is for now. All lab computers and student use computers that have Adobe Creative Cloud installed will not change at this time.
Each faculty, staff, and adjunct employee will receive one license that can be used on two devices. Ideally, you will install this on your primary computer and one other device of your choice. A knowledge base article outlining the changes in licensing with instructions for installation will be provided. Please watch your email for further announcements.
