The Office of Information Systems is pleased to announce an ongoing project to improve the University’s wired and wireless networks in academic buildings on the Russellville and Ozark campuses. This improvement includes:
- New wired network infrastructure
- Increased bandwidth to each building
- Adding the capability for redundant connections to the buildings
- A redesign of the wireless using modern design planning tools with a focus on classroom coverage
- New wireless units that support the new Wifi-6 protocols, as well as other technologies designed for improved client connectivity
- Onboarding the buildings onto the new network management platform designed to help automatically monitor, troubleshoot, and advise on issues

Please note: While not Wifi-6, Doc Bryan and Witherspoon recently received additional wireless units to increase coverage in classrooms and offices.
Maintenance periods will be announced for each building as the upgrades for each building are scheduled.
