The Office of Information Systems (OIS) would like to provide an important update regarding Banner 8 Self-Service, the platform used for various administrative and student services.
Ellucian, the vendor behind our Banner system, has announced that Banner 8 Self-Service will remain in Maintenance Support until September 30, 2025. This means that security updates and critical fixes will continue to be provided until that time. However, Banner 8 Self-Service will reach its official End of Life on January 1, 2026.
As part of Ellucian’s modernization efforts, institutions are encouraged to transition to Banner 9 Self-Service, which offers an improved, more intuitive user experience with enhanced features and security. Our team at OIS is actively working on plans to support this transition and ensure a smooth experience for all users.

Banner 8 Self-Service Maintenance Support: Now through September 30, 2025
Banner 8 Self-Service Sustaining Support: October 1, 2025 – December 31, 2025
End of Life for Banner 8 Self-Service: January 1, 2026
